The Islamic Society is a student group at the University of Birmingham that serves and represents Muslim students and the Islamic faith on campus. Their current executive wanted to upgrade the website aesthetics and features to bring a more professional approach to their online offering.
The website hosts many unique functions. There is the daily and monthly prayer timetable – giving visitors a break down of the times for the five daily prayers. There’s a gallery, with bios, for the existing executive team as well as a historical look at previous heads of the organisation. A dynamic events area, promoting future events, and a blog area, where students share their thoughts on certain topics, have also been included.
With more areas including information about what’s in and around the university, submitting interest in finding accommodation, a discount card for students and more, the website is packed full of useful pages for students and non-students alike.
